Wait, could that be....

Just some random thoughts in the middle of an inconceivably nice day....

I bought a new keyboard. The one that came with my computer crapped out. The new one is nice and all, but now I have to learn how to type the real way.

Bears 41 - Niners 0...at halftime! But yeah, I'm thinking New England-New York in the Super Bowl.

I'm re-reading my notes from a class I had in Fall 2004 (Study of Historiography)...Best class I've had in my life.

ooooo...I think my wife is home! Yay!

Some recent, randomly chosen pics:

The view from my desk:

Frankenstein, master of the kitchen...

Deep thoughts...

Why?

Let's be realistic. I'm a Cubs fan. I've accepted the fact that they might make a playoff run every odd year, but they are what they are - a mediocre team that rakes in the cash from the Wrigley experience. I'm okay with the whole billy goat, Bartman, been-waiting-since-1908 deal. But why, tell me, do I have to put up with this?

First, October 2005:

And now, October 2006:

It could only be worse if...shoot, it couldn't be worse. Oh well, only ten more weeks until the Bears yak it up in the playoffs.

And another thing...Why in the world is Fox playing the Mary J. Blige butchering of "One?" Was there something wrong with the original? Was it not transcedent enough?

What a night - the Cards win the world series, and MJB has ruined my favorite rock song. blah....

exactly....

so the last few days, i've wanted to take a break from reading, go out for a walk, maybe take some pictures of random things...long story short, whenever i have time to go, it's been dreary/rainy/cold. whenever i did not have time, it's been sunny and gorgeous. yup...

the other day, it was 45 and i was cold. when i lived in chicago, 45 was downright balmy. now, it means that i have to wear at least three layers. have i gotten soft? i mean, i survived when it was 21 below! now i can't stand the thought of 21 period. maybe it's just the age.

i don't know how many people know or don't know, heard or haven't. anyways, Sylvia is pregnant. That's right, my genes are about to wreak havoc on the world. as of tommorow (10/27), it'll be thirteen weeks. wow, i just realized that the first trimester is already over. we've got a couple of names in mind - more details to come later.

a rough idea of what baby choi looks like right this minute:
About 10cm big...or about 4 inches for our little corner of the world.
